Mrs Mackintosh – Headteacher I qualified as a teacher in 1988 with a BEd(hons) and have dedicated my career to education ever since, working across a range of both primary and secondary schools in the State sector. Dalam 2005, I achieved my NPQH (National Professional Qualification for Headship), beginning a leadership journey that I have thoroughly enjoyed. Since joining Roxeth in 2018 when my family acquired it, it has been a privilege to help shape the school’s journey and witness its transformation from a pre-prep setting into the thriving nursery it is today. I divide my time between leading a primary school in Surrey and overseeing both Roxeth Mead and our sister nursery, The Hall, in Northwood. Each setting is unique, bringing its own rewards and I genuinely value the opportunity to work in such different environments alongside such dedicated and wonderful people. As a mother of two and grandmother of four, family life also keeps me wonderfully busy beyond work.

Mrs KalsiBeing a teacher was my childhood dream and I began fulfilling that over 30 years ago when I qualified as an Early Years practitioner in a Montessori Nursery. Teaching isn’t just my profession, it’s my passion. Since joining Roxeth Mead in 2006, I have been part of the changes that have shaped it from a pre prep school to our current Nursery. It has been a privilege to help create a vibrant, joyful space where children feel safe, valued, and excited to learn. There is nothing more rewarding than watching my nursery children discover their voice, build confidence and develop a genuine love for learning that will stay with them for years to come.

Mrs SheikhI qualified as an Early Years Practitioner in 2010 in Blackburn, Lancashire. Since then, I have gained extensive experience working in children’s centres, nurseries, and schools, developing a strong understanding of child development, safeguarding, family engagement, and inclusive practice. These roles have enabled me to support children at different stages of their learning journey and help them develop confidence, independence, and a love of learning. After getting married in 2016, I moved to London and joined Roxeth Mead School in 2017. As a mother of two, I bring both professional expertise and personal experience to my role, which helps me understand the importance of providing a nurturing, supportive, and inclusive environment for children and their families. Since joining Roxeth Mead, I have built strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, supported children’s learning and development through engaging and creative experiences, and worked collaboratively with staff to meet the individual needs of every child. I remain committed to continuous professional development and am passionate about helping children reach their full potential while making a positive contribution to the school community.

I also hold a Bachelor of Arts degree from Mumbai University (2004), a Postgraduate qualification in Law from Mumbai University (2012), and achieved my Level 3 Childcare qualification at Stanmore College in 2014. Since moving into the childcare sector, I have worked in a variety of nursery settings across India and the UK, progressing through roles from Room Leader to Nursery Deputy Manager. Sejak,en 2022, I have held Deputy Manager positions, supporting the leadership and day-to-day operation of nursery settings while helping to create positive learning environments for children and staff. I joined Roxeth Mead Nursery in 2024 and have thoroughly enjoyed becoming part of its dedicated team. One of the aspects I enjoy most about my role is designing creative and engaging activities that support children’s learning, development, and confidence. Every nursery setting brings its own unique rewards and challenges, and I value the opportunity to work with different children, families, and colleagues. I particularly appreciate working alongside committed and passionate professionals who share the same goal of providing the best possible start for every child. As a mother of one son, family life keeps me busy and active outside of work. I am also passionate about travelling and enjoy exploring new places, cultures, and experiences whenever I have the opportunity.

Miss Faye -Ever since I was young, I knew I wanted to work with children. I gained my NNEB Diploma in 1995. I gained valuable experience in a variety of childcare settings before securing a full-time nanny position in Gerrards Cross in 1997, caring for two boys. I am still in contact with them today and remain a valued part of their family, just as they are of mine. During my 10 years as their nanny, I became a mother to my first son, who was welcomed as part of the family and often came to work with me. I also undertook a nanny-share role, caring for another family with two boys. Over the years, I continued working with families while balancing the joys of motherhood, and in 2012 I welcomed my second son. Dalam 2015, I moved into a preschool setting as an Early Years Practitioner. I absolutely loved supporting children’s learning and development in a nurturing environment. During my nine years there, I progressed to Deputy Manager, completed a range of CPD training, and qualified to lead Attention Autism sessions. I particularly enjoy using Bucket Time activities, which bring so much joy, engagement, and fun-based learning to children. Today, I am delighted to be the Room Leader at Roxeth Mead. I love that every day is different, and I am passionate about nurturing children, helping them develop confidence, and giving them the very best start in life. I believe that every child is unique and will learn, grow, and shine in their own time. Outside of work, I am a proud mum to two boys and enjoy long walks with my dog, Stanley. My favourite colour is blue, I love eating crisps, and I enjoy spending quality time with my family, especially on holidays where we can create special memories together.

Miss Layla – I grew up in Pinner and completed my studies in Business Management, graduating from university with a BA (Hons) degree. I began my professional career working in events and marketing, gaining valuable experience in communication, organisation, and relationship-building. After having my two children, I discovered a passion for working with young children and decided to pursue a career in Early Years education. I started my Early Years journey at a local nursery and went on to achieve my Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education three years ago. With three years of experience in the sector, I have developed a strong understanding of how young children learn and grow, and I am committed to creating a nurturing and engaging environment where every child can flourish. Since joining Roxeth Mead in January 2025, it has been a pleasure to contribute my knowledge and experience to the nursery. I have learned so much from the dedicated and supportive team, and we continue to grow and learn from one another every day. The children at Roxeth Mead are kind, inquisitive learners who bring joy and enthusiasm each day, making it a truly rewarding place to work. Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and watching my children grow and thrive.

Miss Chrisy I gained a Level 3 Diploma in Child Care and Education in 2005. I began my career as a Teaching Assistant at a private pre-prep school in Finchley, where I worked for 13 years supporting children aged 2½ to 3½ years. As part of a small and dedicated team, I helped create a warm, safe, and stimulating environment in which children could thrive and develop confidence in their early years. Keen to broaden my experience, I later joined a private pre-prep nursery in Notting Hill, working within an EYFS setting that followed Montessori principles. Here, I supported children’s learning through a curriculum that encouraged scientific enquiry, discovery, creativity, sport, movement, dance, and drama, providing a wide range of opportunities for exploration and development through play. Throughout my career, I have also enjoyed working as a nanny for families in my spare time. This gave me the opportunity to build close and meaningful relationships with both the children and their families, becoming an important part of their lives as they grew and developed. I feel incredibly fortunate to have remained in touch with a couple of them over the years, long after my role as their nanny ended. Watching the children grow and maintaining those special bonds has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my career. Following the birth of my children, I chose to work closer to home and joined Roxeth Mead. I am delighted to be part of the school community and look forward to working closely with children, families, and colleagues to support every child on their unique learning journey. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, exploring new activities with my children, and creating special memories together. We love discovering new places, being active outdoors, and making the most of family time together.

Miss NatalieI became interested in working in early years at the age of 17 and have been passionate about it ever since. I enjoy helping children learn, grow, and develop confidence from a young age. I find it incredibly rewarding to support their development through play, learning, and building positive relationships. Working with young children has strengthened my communication and teamwork skills, and I am passionate about creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where every child can thrive. Throughout my childcare journey, I have gained several qualifications by attending college and completing a variety of professional development courses. Continuing to learn has helped me grow as an early years practitioner and stay up to date with the ever-evolving childcare sector. Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my son, family, and friends. I also enjoy attending church, reading, going for walks in the park, and exploring the outdoors, which helps me maintain a positive and balanced lifestyle.
